Equino is not a horse/pony riding school!  What we offer is personalised riding and horse management coaching on your own horse or pony to allow you to achieve your goals.  Whether that be just learning to ride safely, confidently and have fun or you want to go to riding/pony club or competitions.

Each lesson will build on your skills and knowledge to ensure you achieve your goal and build a successful and happy relationship with your horse/pony.

In order to provide this level of service only a small number of students can be coached at one time. Developing your Horse Management skills is also critical to your overall confidence and relationship with your pony, these skills and knowledge are integrated into your lessons or conducted as “on ground” lessons.  Horse management covers a variety of topics from safety around horses, to handling, daily care, feeding, grooming, drenching, hoof care, pasture maintenance, correct saddling and bridling to name but a few.

Regular Lessons these put you on a fast track to achieving your goals, develop confidence and help prevent bad habits forming.  The frequency of your lessons can be discussed with Equino.

Tune Up Lessons (Ad Hoc) can help assess where you are now, relative to where you want to be with your riding and horse management skills.   These lessons can provide you with a self education training plan for you to put into practice and then have a follow up lesson when you are ready.

Specific Event Preparation Lessons are intensive coaching to prepare you for a special event, like going to your first competition.  Know what to expect, the rules, what to wear, how the completion is run and how to prepare before you get to the event.  Competition day support can also be provided if required.

Galloping Housewives get together some riding friends for a morning or afternoon horse session.  Choose a venue (eg indoor school, trail or beach) depending on the skills you want to develop and after the lesson, to celebrate your achievements we will provide the afternoon/morning tea refreshments.  You decide how to use the allocated time either for short private lessons or group lessons.

On Ground Lessons focus on your horse management skills and may be a mix of practical and theory lessons that could cover anything from how to make sure your paddocks are horse safe, recognise when your horse is unwell, how to clean, put together and fit saddlery, learn the rules of a competition or prepare for Pony Club Certificates.
